This Privacy Policy explains how No Finish Line Running, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website at nofinishlinerunning.com, our training platform (the "Platform"), and our coaching and training services (together, the "Services").

It should be read together with our Terms of Use.

The short version:

We collect information to coach you and run the Platform.
Our coaches and staff can see your training and health information only when they need it to provide or support the Services. We do not sell it.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
We use cookies for site functionality and basic traffic analytics (Google Analytics); some embedded content, like blog comments, may set its own cookies.
You can ask to see, correct, export, or delete your information at any time.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

Account and contact information: name, email address, phone number, date of birth or age, and, for users under 18, parent or guardian contact information.
Training profile: running history, goals, target races, fitness level, availability, and preferences.
Workout data: workouts you log, such as date, type, duration, distance, pace, heart rate, perceived effort (RPE), and notes.
Health information: injuries, pain, medical conditions, medications, or other health details you choose to share so our coaches can train you safely.
Communications: messages with our coaches and staff, comments on workouts, and emails you send us.
Payment arrangements: records of what you purchased and payment status. We do not currently collect payment card information through the Platform (see Section 7).

Information collected automatically

Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages or screens viewed, dates and times of access, and error logs. We use this to keep the Platform secure and working properly.
Cookies and analytics: we use cookies and similar browser storage that are necessary to keep you signed in and make the Platform work. We also use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to help us understand how visitors use our website (for example, which pages are viewed and how long visitors stay). We do not enable Google Analytics' advertising features, and we do not use this information for targeted advertising.
Embedded content and comments: pages with a video use YouTube's privacy-enhanced ("no cookie") embed mode, so YouTube does not set cookies unless you choose to play the video. Our blog comments are powered by Disqus, which may set its own cookies and collect information (such as your IP address) as soon as the comment section loads. Both operate under their own privacy policies, which we don't control.

Information from others

Our coaches and staff: our coaches and staff may add information to your account, such as training plans, notes, and assessments.
Parents or guardians: may provide information about a Minor when giving consent.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

create and manage your account;
design, deliver, and adjust your training plans and coaching;
let you and our coaches log, review, and discuss your workouts;
show your progress and training history;
schedule and conduct in-person sessions;
communicate with you about your training, account, and the Services;
send newsletters or promotional emails, only if you have agreed to receive them (you can unsubscribe at any time);
maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;
keep business records and handle billing; and
comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the safety of our users.

3. Health Information

We know training and health information is sensitive, so we give it extra care:

We use it only to provide coaching and training services to you and to keep your training safe.
Access is limited to our coaches and staff who need it to provide or support the Services.
We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
We do not share it with third parties except service providers that host or process it for us (see Section 4), or where required by law.

We are not a healthcare provider, and the information you share with us is not protected by HIPAA. We protect it as described in this Policy.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

We share personal information only in these situations:

With our coaches and staff: only those who need the information to provide or support the Services.
With service providers: companies that process information for us and are allowed to use it only to provide services to us. We currently use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host the Platform and store data, Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, and Disqus to power comments on our blog. If we add other providers (for example, an email service or payment processor), we will update this Policy.
For legal reasons: when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of you, us, or others, including in an emergency involving someone's health or safety.
Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you if that happens.
With your consent: in any other situation, only with your permission.

5. Users Under 18

The Services are available to people 13 and older. Users aged 13 to 17 may use the Services only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

A parent or guardian of a Minor may ask to review, correct, or delete the Minor's information, or withdraw consent, by contacting us at info@nofinishlinerunning.com.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, please contact us.

6. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services.

If you close your account or ask us to delete your information, we will delete or de-identify it within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep certain records (such as payment and tax records) to meet legal or accounting requirements or to resolve disputes. Copies in backups are deleted as those backups are routinely replaced.

7. Payments

Payments are currently arranged directly with us outside the Platform, and we do not collect or store payment card numbers through the Platform.

If we later offer online payments, they will be processed by a third-party payment processor. The processor will collect and store your payment details under its own privacy policy, and we will receive only limited information, such as your name, the amount paid, the last four digits of your card, and payment status. We will update this Policy before that change takes effect.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. These include encryption in transit, access controls that limit who can view your data, and hosting with a reputable cloud provider.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your login credentials private. If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You can ask us to:

Access: confirm whether we process your information and receive a copy of it.
Correct: fix information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Delete: delete your personal information, subject to the exceptions in Section 6.
Export: receive your workout and training data in a commonly used, portable format.
Opt out of marketing: stop receiving promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us. We will still send you messages about your account and training.

To make a request, email info@nofinishlinerunning.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights. We will honor those rights as required by applicable law.

10. Where Information Is Stored

We are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to the U.S.

11. Third-Party Websites and Integrations

Our website may link to other websites, and we may later let you connect third-party apps or devices (such as a GPS watch or fitness app) to import workout data. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. If we add integrations, we will update this Policy to explain what data we receive and how we use it, and we will import data only with your permission.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Platform before the changes take effect. The "Effective Date" at the top shows when this Policy was last updated.
