The Challenge
Sunday, December 06, 2020 · Mike Davis
Good morning!
After a Thanksgiving break, I am back at it. Now the balance act of turning my attention to the business at NFLF, Christmas and of course earning Myzone Effort Points (MEPS).
The Challenge
In November we had 18 folks’ complete Part I of the NFLF Holiday Challenge. Participants are a mix of NFLF clients and non-clients who are using the Challenge for motivation throughout the holiday season. Either way, the enthusiasm has been great to see. From all the way down in Atlanta Georgia, to here New Hampshire, the Challenge has been successful in encouraging people to exercise.
Side Note: I salute Kate Dickenson for getting out in her garage and jump roping in the final days. Not to meet the MEPS requirement, but to ensure her lead over me was insurmountable. Well played Kate!
Part II of the Challenge
Now that everyone who took on the Challenge Part I has gotten their wonderful custom design sweatshirts, we are on to Part II.
For the month of December, the MEPS challenge is a few less, but by the looks of week one, the participants are motivated to exceed the modest number needed. I totally get it and I am coming out of the gate working my butt off! Where we had 18 people in Part I, we now have 20 motivated participants in Part II. I am so pleased to see people embracing this challenge and even exceeding it. Jen Miller did a great job with designing the sweatshirt for Part I and has done even better with the coffee mug for all those taking on Part II of the NFLF Holiday Challenge.
Missed Out?
The great success of the NFLF Holiday Challenge’s will help us devise future Challenges, so if you missed out this time, their will be future opportunities. While I am pumped that this Challenge has motivated people to work out, I am equally thrilled that all the proceeds raised from this Challenge will be matched by NFLF and donated to My Friend’s Place, a homeless shelter in Dover. All prizes are covered by NFLF, thus ensuring every penny will benefit people in need. One of our tenants is to give back and be a blessing to our world and this Challenge is a huge part of that.
Thanks for having coffee with me this morning. I hope you have a wonderful week and take time to enjoy the Christmas Season.
God Bless
Mike
