A New Year!
Sunday, December 31, 2017 · Mike Davis
Good morning!
With today being New Years Eve day, it only makes sense to take a brief look back at 2017 and ahead to 2018 for NFLR.
2017 for NFLR continued a transition from solely a Dover New Hampshire based running business to multi-region coaching resource. While I continue to be a presence in New Hampshire, I am also now bringing NFLR to Pinehurst North Carolina. Thankfully the Seacoast of New Hampshire has a great team of NFLR coaches in DeeJ Swallow, Julie Butterfield, Doug Mackinnon, Amy Spencer, Meg Churchill and Jennifer Miller, that have grown NFLR throughout Southern New Hampshire and Southern Mane.
2017 was highlighted by the largest group of runners making the trek up to North Conway for the White Mountain Milers Half Marathon and despite extreme rain, they all enjoyed a wonderful event! As that event ended, NFLR rolled right into its “Winters Pacers Running Group”, which has the largest number of participants NFLR has had in any group to date. This group is full of energy and provides a fun way to keep running through the winter! Because they are not training for a particular event, anyone can join them throughout the winter.
Backing up a bit, NFLR once again gave back to the community, by managing the 2017 “Apple Harvest Day 5K” road race. This partnership with Dover continues to a perfect match and represents the passion both Dover and NFLR have for the racing community.
Looking ahead to 2018, NFLR will continue to support recreational runners through our training groups, individual personal coaching and supporting local events. Our coaches are certified through “Road Runners Club of America (RRCA)” and we also have 2 personal fitness trainers certified through “American Council on Exercise (ACE).” Using our experience, knowledge and passion, we will continue to provide coaching that will benefit all levels of recreational runners.
This New Year will bring greater opportunity to help runners that have a desire and passion for running. NFLR is a running resource that provides not only personalized training plans, but also technical coaching.
Bring on 2018!
I hope you have a wonderful New Year and I hope to see you on the road!
God Bless!
Michael
